BLOOD DONATION CAMP

The Blood Bank has conducted 13 (Thirteen) Blood Donation camps and collected 899 units of blood during March 2017.

07  persons blood grouping were done in IRCS Blood Bank during March 2017.

ISSUE OF WHOLE HUMAN BLOOD

42 units of Whole Blood were issued to various Hospitals on requisition.

 COMPONENT SEPARATION UNIT

In our Blood Bank, blood components, like, Packed Red Blood Cells, Fresh Frozen Plasma and Platelet Concentrate were separated with sophisticated modern equipments and supplied to Hospitals and Nursing Homes on requisition.

The Day Care Hospital attached to Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu Branch is functioning from 28.12.1998 to cater the needs of the downtrodden. The Hospital services were extended on various specialties and the following are the details of patients who were benefitted during  September 2016.

Namakkal Educational District:-

JRC Unit was started in Kongunadu Matric. Hr. Sec. School, Namakkal. Thiru C. Rajeshkannan, Secretary, IRCS Namakkal District Branch hoisted JRC Flag and delivered Special address. Headmaster, JRC Counsellor, Teachers and JRC Juniors attended.

One Day Excursion Tour was arranged for JRC Juniors on 22.10.2016. Thiru L Vengatachalapathy, CEO flagged off the Tour in the presence of Thiru V. Radhakrishnan, JRC Convener and Thiru M. Karthikeyan, Jt. Convener and Thiru R. Rajamanickam, Zonal Officer. Thiru K. Munusamy, DEO and Tmt. R. Elizabeth, DEEO felicitated. 65 JRC Counsellors and 680 JRC Juniors from various Schools participated.

Mock Drill on Flood Resuce and Fire Fighting was conducted on 23.10.2016. at Saminathapuram, Salem. Fire & Rescue Official conducted the demonstration about Rescue & Lifting of Casualites among general public. Thiru P. Prabahar, JRC Convener attended.

Thiru J. Munna, Chairman, IRCS Salem District Branch inaugurated the Camp. Fire & Rescue Officials Team headed by Thiru Venkatraman, DFO conducted the demonstration. Human Rally was organized to create awareness among general public about “ Pollution & Accident Free Deepavali”.
